Melanie Neff Yarborough is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Studies from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and her Master's of Social Work at the University of Alabama. Melanie has over 6 years of experience working with individuals and families. She has worked in multiple social work areas, including sexual assault, domestic violence, the court/legal system, the healthcare symstem and community mental health. 

Melanie has found her passion through offering counseling services and particularly enjoys working with teenagers and young adults. She specializes in Trauma Related Issues, Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Stress, and exploring one's identity. She is skilled in utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and offers a Strengths-Based and Culturally Sensitive perspective.

In her free time, Melanie enjoys spending time outside, gardening and taking care of houseplants, playing and hiking with her dog, eating at new restaurants, and reading Memoirs and Fantasy novels.
