Dyslexia Tutoring
Tutoring for Dyslexia is provided at Behavioral ONE's clinic by a certified Teacher with specified training in dyslexia through Orton Gillingham.  Behavioral ONE's Dyslexia Tutoring Program offers intensive one-to-one tutoring utilizing the Orton Gillingham approach.

Orton Gillingham focuses on each child individually and where their specific need is. It is a phonetic based curriculum that combines multi-sensory techniques along with the structure of the English language. Multi-sensory education incorporates the following three learning pathways: auditory, kinesthetic, and visual. This approach is beneficial not only for students with dyslexia, but for all learners. The uniqueness of this type of instruction is that it allows the educator to capitalize on an individual student’s dominant learning modality while delivering instruction that will strengthen the remaining learning pathways.

Orton Gillingham is a direct instruction curriculum that is personalized to recognize the individual needs of learners and pace instruction based on student mastery and progress. It is diagnostic and prescriptive as the instructor continuously monitors the verbal, non-verbal, and written responses of the student in order to understand both the student's challenges and progress.

Orton Gillingham focuses on six core content areas:
-Phonological Awareness
-Sound/Symbol Association
-Semantics and Comprehension
-Syntax and Grammar
